the Selmanaires
Summary by Carrie Dagenhard
This is The Selmanaires first Popfest experience. They say that as an Atlanta band, they feel “very honored to be invited.” The high energy 60’s and 70’s-influenced rock sound is reminiscent of The Talking Heads, The Kinks, and The Who. The sometimes-present organ also conjures up possible Doors influences as well. Either way, their sound is a throwback to better times in rock n’ roll history.
The band, which formed in 2003, is known for their infectious live shows. And with dual-drum performances, it’s no wonder that the addictive beat is impossible to escape.
