The Coathangers’ trajectory over the past couple of years has been truly incredible. Born from the fertile and vibrant Atlanta indie scene, The Coathangers will play the Athens PopFest for the first time this year. Their live shows are always fun affairs filled with the bands punk tweaked tunes with a decidedly upfront feminist perspective. One could hardly call The Coathangers hard-line politicos, their feminism is self-evident without ever needing to be preachy. The band is living testament to the power of friends, fun and a lot of hard work.
