Pipes You See, Pipes You Don’t is the solo project of Peter Erchick (Olivia Tremor Control & The Circulatory System). With two self-released albums, Individualized Shirts and Special Fanfare for Anything, the band is considered to be spindled on Erchick, and contributed to by many other Athens musicians.
Pipes You See, Pipes You Don’t exhibit a Yardbirdian psychedelia offset and distorted by rhythmic torpidity. Instead of frenzying the music into its every possibility (or impossibility) Pipes allow the sound to explore and unfold seemingly of a John Cage philosophy.
