This is the first year Athens-based riot grrrl band Fish Schticks will play the Athens PopFest. The band has a frenetic sound that places them firmly alongside many of their philosophic peers. Imagine the enthusiasm of Bratmobile matched by the lyrical honesty of the proto-indie Shaggs.

2. Could you classify your sound for people who haven't heard it before?
The sound of being fed-up and brownies baking in the oven.
3. What is your favorite place to play, and why?
It's a toss up between the kitchen and the laundry room (we mutli-task).
4. What is the weirdest thing you take on tour?
Trevor
5. What should people expect from your Athens PopFest performance?
Combat boots, fishnet tights, and the beginning of a different conversation (one that doesn't involve trading recipes).
