Circulatory System started with songwriter W. Cullen Hart (formerly of The Olivia Tremor Control) and grew with members John Fernandes, Peter Erchick, Heather McIntosh, Jeff Mangum and Hannah Jones. Their first album will please fans of The Olivia Tremor Control as it does not stray far from the lead's former band's sound and nearly everyone who has ever contributed to an OTC release makes an appearance here. Hart masterfully layers sounds to create a dense but melodic album.
Circulatory System has been a staple at Athens PopFest since the festival's inception; this will be the band's fifth year playing the festival.
