Big Fresh

Big Fresh is an absurd pop band with electronica hints from Lexington, Kentucky. Imagine The Faint after receiving a cupcake and a hug, or if the Partridge Family had adopted David Byrne. The band states a desire to create a positive change through positive perceptions and music. In 2008 the band released their LP Big Fresh Forever.

Beach Boys -Pet Sounds, Eggstone-Vive La Difference, the Beatles - White Album, Sufjan Stevens - Come on Feel the Illinoise, The Best of Os Mutantes
2. Could you classify your sound for people who haven't heard it before?
Fun pop by music nerds, with a heart.
3. What is your favorite place to play, and why?
All ages shows - anywhere, anytime. because most people are there to hear the music and not just get wasted.
4. What is the weirdest thing you take on tour?
Protestant guilt from a religious upbringing, fine french soaps, and an unhealthy obsession with hotel ice machines.
5. What should people expect from your Athens PopFest performance?
Intentionally good-love vibrations in the air created by electric musical instruments.
