Sure, having one of Athens premiere hardcore and thrash bands at this year’s Athens Popfest might seem a little incongruous to twee pop fans. Thing is, though, is that we celebrate the whole of the indie music scene and American Cheeseburger is so wholly representative of the independent spirit and ethic that we’d be stupid to overlook them. Also, their music rules and we count them as personal friends. Athens locals already know how great they are. Out of towners will not want to miss them.
